At Agua by Maria, sustainability is part of the way we choose to create.

Our swimwear fabrics are made using sustainable materials developed from recycled fibers and recycled plastic bottles, helping reduce waste while giving new life to existing materials. We also work with more conscious dyeing methods designed to reduce environmental impact.

For our clothing and beachwear pieces, we use carefully sourced deadstock fabrics — high-quality existing materials that help avoid unnecessary textile waste and overproduction.

Beyond fabrics, we believe in a slower and more intentional approach to fashion. Every Agua by Maria piece is handmade by us in small quantities, focusing on quality, longevity, and timeless design rather than fast fashion and mass production.

By producing thoughtfully and creating pieces made to last beyond a single season, we aim to encourage a more conscious and meaningful relationship with clothing.
